Planning Your Comfort
You can't really call it a home until it's comfortable all year long! You have probably experienced homes that are cool downstairs and warm upstairs. Sometimes one room is warmer or cooler than the others. At Beckwith, we plan heating and cooling systems for whole house comfort. In new construction, the planning centers around selecting the right equipment to meet the challenges at hand. In remodeling, the equipment is still critical. However, we may be able to use the existing furnace and AC units while installing additional equipment to zone the home better. Zoning allows heat and cooling to be applied with control. If you have a room you don't use and don't want to heat the room, zoning will allow you to turn that room off saving energy. Zoning basically lets you control the amount of heat or AC going to each room or part of your home.
Efficiency is often as important as comfort. Home energy costs are a large part of your budget. Beckwith can often improve efficiency with new or additional equipment. Ask us for a comfort analysis and we will also analyze your heating and cooling equipment for energy efficiency.
